Who We Are:

Sanaag Development Organization (SDO) is a community based non-profit, non-political organization created in response to the urgent need of healthcare, educational and infrastructure improvement of the region. The organization is comprised of members of the local Erigabo community and members of the Sanaag community in the Diaspora.

Our Mission:

Mindful of the immensity of the needs in the region, our focus is to actively serve the region by providing resources, prioritized by the severity of the need, to improve the functionality of the hospitals, schools, and infrastructure of the region.

Our bjectives:

Recruit and pay or supplement the salaries of a physician and a surgeon for the General Hospital in Erigabo.
Participate fully in the rehabilitation and reconstruction work going on in the Sanaag region of Somaliland.
Participate in procurement of the necessary medical equipment needed at the hospital.
Ensure the physical rehabilitation of education and health facilities and resume structured health and education personnel training in the region.
Encourage the formation of volunteer local groups; support and cooperate with persons and groups already engaged in similar activities;
Raise required resources to achieve objectives of SDO.
Provide an opportunity to individuals & non-profit organizations who wish to participate in SDO activities in the region.
